ZE:A’s Park Hyungsik reveals he was bullied during his trainee days on “Healing Camp”

In a recent episode of SBS‘s Healing Camp, ZE:A’s Park Hyungsik made an appearance and confessed that he experienced bullying before making his debut during his trainee days.

Aired on August 10th, Hyungsik was asked if there was anything that had happened to him during his trainee days.

With a serious look on his face, Hyungsik answered, “When I was under a different company, I was hurt by other people. I have an open mind and I try not to hurt others. I was close with the manager who casted me, and to the other trainees, it seems like I was sucking up. At some point they stopped eating meals with me and even stopped speaking to me. So then I thought that instead of being aware of others, I should just focus on doing well myself.”

“At the time, I was 17 years old and a freshman in high school. I suffered from depression. After coming into the company [current agency], I continued to practice on my own and singing ballad songs, but the leader would ask me ‘Why are you alone,’ they continued to take care of me so my mood brightened up and I began to think very fondly of my hyungs.”
