These 10 K-Pop Songs Take Home The Gold For Longest Titles Ever

Can you think of some other ridiculously long song titles?

It seems like some of the most popular K-Pop songs these days have very short, simple titles that easily catch someone’s attention. Not every title, however, fits this description, and though it’s much less common, there are some songs with titles that could practically be their own sentence! From smaller artists to even extremely popular ones (like TXT!), there are many who have experimented with longer titles, some more than other.

Here, in no particular order, are 10 of the longest titles of K-Pop songs that have been created!

1. “How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You’re the One I Love” by Akdong Musician

This song was released in 2019 on Akdong Musician’s album Sailing, which also has titles that range from one word such as “Whale”, “Moon”, and “Freedom”, to other semi-long titles like “Should’ve Loved You More” and “Endless Dream, Good Night”. But this song takes the cake!

2. “Waiting For You At Platform 9 and 3 Quarters” by TXT

Most people know this song simply as “Run Away” or “9 and 3 Quarters”, but the full translation of the song is this much longer one! TXT is one of today’s most popular groups that is well-known for having longer titles, such as “One Day, Horns Grew Out Of My Head” (better known as “Crown”), “Can’t We Just Leave the Monster Alive”, and “What If I Had Been That Puma”.

3. “It’s A Different Thing To Love Her and Make Her Happy” by Crucial Star ft. jeebanoff

This song was released in 2019 off of Crucial Star’s Half A Wing album, which features 6 total tracks. Besides this one, the others are all quite short and succinct, and it looks especially long when in comparison to the others on the tracklist!

4. “A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone” by BTS

This may not be the longest title on this list, but it is one of (if not the) longest titles for a song by BTS. It was released in 2017 as the final song on their You Never Walk Alone album, which features other more well-known (and shorter!) titles such as “Spring Day”, “Not Today”, and all seven of the members’ solo songs, which are all (except for one) a single word!

5. “I Will Go To You Like the First Snow” by Ailee

This track from power vocalist Ailee became well-known through its use as an OST for the K-Drama Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. Other artists that featured on this album include Soyou (with “I Miss You”), ChanyeolPunch (with “Stay With Me”), and MAMAMOO (with a track simply called “Love”).

6. “We Were Destined To Meet Again in the End” by MAMAMOO

MAMAMOO’s major hits are simple and succinct — such as “Hip”, “Gogobebe”, and “AYA”, to name just a few — but this song off of their Reality In Black album, known more simply as “Destiny”, doesn’t match this pattern!

7. “You’re So Lonely Now, So You Need Me Back By Your Side Again” by Yerin Baek

This long-titled song was released in 2020 on Yerin’s tellusboutyourself album, and with 14 total tracks on the album, it’s the longest by far! Others included are the double title tracks “Hate You” and “0415”, with the second-longest being “I Am Not Your Ocean Anymore”.

8. “The Girl Who Can’t Break Up, the Boy Who Can’t Leave” by Leessang ft. Jung In

The album that this song was released on, Hexagonal, came out way back in 2009! The duo Leessang had 16 total tracks on the album, and the majority of them had one-word titles.

9. “The Story Only I Know You Will Never Know” by Rainbow

This song was released on Rainbow’s 2013 album Rainbow Syndrome, and while some of the other 12 tracks on the album do have semi-long titles like “Tell Me Tell Me”, “I’ll Wait For You”, and “Eenie Meenie Minie Moe”, this one is certainly the longest!

10. “Because It’ll Be Faster For Me To Forget You Than Me Loving You” by from20

Interestingly, this is the only song on this list with an album of the same name! Of course, it makes sense since it is a single album with only this song and an instrumental version on it, but it’s still quite a mouthful to have for an album name. It came out just a couple of months ago in August of this year, and this former member of BIGSTAR has other long titles as well, such as 20; Still Greedy For Juicy, I’m Kissing This 20.
