Big Hit Entertainment Reported To Acquire Pledis Entertainment, Responds To Reports

Big Hit denied the rumors.

Big Hit Entertainment has responded to claims that they would be acquiring Pledis Entertainment.

According to an exclusive report from Ilgan Sports, it was reported that BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, and NU’EST would all become agency labelmates, as Big Hit Entertainment decided to acquire Pledis Entertainment. The move would be similar to Big Hit Entertainment’s acquisition of Source Music back in July 2019.

According to the report, Pledis Entertainment would continue to run independently, just like Source Music, only under Big Hit Entertainment’s umbrella. Pledis Entertainment would also move into Big Hit Entertainment’s new building in Yongsan.

We expect that the two companies will create an even more powerful synergy in the future by joining hands. They will open up opportunities such as growing new artists and improving content and their global network based on the combined know-how of both agencies.
