The teens—Yoo Taeyoung, Kwon Hyukjoon, and Yeonji—were shown into a room where they watched BLACKSWAN’s “Close To Me” MV, all while Fatou waited in the back.

When they finished watching the video, she gave them the surprise of a lifetime by appearing in front of them!

Understandably, they were shocked and starstruck.

Oh oh my god. Hello. I was so surprised. Oh wow, we were just focusing on the video.

They sat down to talk and she was asked about how she decided to become a K-Pop idol. According to Fatou, it was something she had dreamed about since she was 15 years old and watched SHINEE‘s “Replay.” Born in 1995, she is currently 26 years old.

Well, since I was 15 years old, becoming a K-Pop idol was my dream. When I was 15 years old, one of my friends showed me the music video of the song SHINEE’s ‘Replay.’ Since then, I wanted to become an idol star.

She debuted in BLACKSWAN on October 16, 2020, which is a little over a year ago. Beating all odds, it took her 10 years to realize her dream!

It’s been two and a half years. Well, at first it was quite tough to live in Korea. Cultures are very different and the food is very different. My Korean members helped me a lot. So I learned the right things, and now I enjoy Korean food a lot. And I got used to the Korean culture as well.
