BTS’s Jungkook And RM Share Their Thoughts On COVID-19 And How It Affected Fans All Over The World

They shared hopeful messages in light of COVID-19.

Following their historic 1st place win on Billboard‘s Hot 100BTS appeared on KBS News9 to talk about their thoughts and feelings on their accomplishments.

Toward the end of the interview, BTS was asked to say a few words to fans as well as viewers who are having a hard time due to COVID-19.

And in response, Jungkook acknowledged the hardships everybody must be facing.

I believe many of you are having a hard time due to COVID-19. It was hard for us as well. It was so serious that we had to cancel very big plans that we had for this year.

— Jungkook

But he hopes that fans and viewers try to make the best of their circumstances.

But many people are doing their best in these circumstances. I hope we can all find things we can do as well as things that will comfort us within these circumstances so that we can try to be the happiest we can be despite our boredom.

— Jungkook

As for RM, he stressed his belief that despite how hard things may be, good things still come out of difficult times.

My heart feels heavy. It’s hard for me to dare say I understand those who are having a hard time. But for us, the song, ‘Dynamite’ wouldn’t have come out if it wasn’t for COVID-19. So I believe that when really hard things happen, some good things are bound to come out of it.

— RM

RM concluded,

I believe there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, so despite how hard it may be, we’ll do our best as well. So please hang in there and stay healthy.

— RM

BTS canceled much of their big plans for 2020 due to COVID-19, but they recently made a comeback with “Dynamite”, which is sweeping the charts due to its upbeat melody and hopeful message.
