The Webby Awards

BTS won two awards in the General Video category: Events & Live Streams, and Variety & Reality. The “Dear Class of 2020” video series, in which they participated in, took home the Events & Live Streams award!

“Dear Class of 2020” is a virtual commencement celebration for all the students that were not able to celebrate their graduations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its goal was to bring together “inspirational leaders and artists to celebrate graduates, their families, and their communities.” BTS participated in the video series with performances of “Boy With Luv,” “Spring Day,” and more, and a commencement speech.

The “BTS Carpool Karaoke” video with James Corden won the Variety & Reality award. The video was the group’s installment of James Corden’s well-loved Carpool Karaoke series, where the seven members along with Corden drive around the city while singing various songs and answering questions.

Their third award was the Award for Music, General Virtual & Remote, for their virtual concert Map of the Soul ON:E. The online concert took place over two days, October 10-11, 2020, and totaled an attendance of 993,000 paid viewers from 191 different regions.
