CIX’s June Comeback Postponed Indefinitely Due To Injury

We hope for a speedy recovery.

CIX has become the latest group to have to adjust their comeback schedule.

On June 24, CIX’s company C9 Entertainment announced that the group’s third mini-album Hello Chapter 3: Hello, Strange Time, will have its release date pushed back indefinitely due to an injury sustained by Bae Jinyoung, who has also gained fame from his time as a soloist and as a member of Wanna One.

CIX was set to release their mini-album on June 30. It would mark the end of their Hello trilogy, following the first chapter Hello, Stranger, and second chapter Hello, Strange Place.

C9 Entertainment released an official statement regarding the postponement of the comeback, Bae Jinyoung’s well-being, and any activities in the interim (if any).

Read C9 Entertainment’s official statement below:

Good morning. This is C9 Entertainment.

This is an announcement about the postponement of CIX’s album release.

CIX member Bae Jinyoung visited a specialized hospital for slight ankle pain during dance practice in the first week of June. He received expert opinions that there should be no problems in daily activities but that he should refrain from vigorous exercize and excessive movement.

Bae Jinyoung received treatment for adverse symptoms at a hospital this morning, and received additional opinions from the specialists there that the scheduled release of the album, which was set for June 30, is unreasonable at this time.

We have decided to postpone the June 30 release of the album, considering the artist’s health and recovery is the top priority.

The album release date and content release schedule will be announced at a later time.

We express our apologies to the fans who have been waiting patiently for CIX’s comeback. We also express our apologies to all those who have worked hard on this lastest comeback.

We will do our best to help the artist recover from this injury quickly. Please support Bae Jinyoung to help him recover as soon as possible.

Thank you.

We wish you a speedy recovery Bae Jinyoung!
