Girls’ Generation Taeyeon Becomes Member Of Red Cross Honors Club

She gave a generous donation to help children.

Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon has become a member of the Red Cross Honors Club (RCHC) after giving a generous donation.

On July 24, the North Jeolla office of the Korean Red Cross revealed that Taeyeon had donated 100 million KRW ($85,000 USD), asking them to use the funds for female children and adolescents in low-income households in the North Jeolla region.

 

Through this donation, Taeyeon has become the 132nd member of the RCHC and the first celebrity from North Jeolla to become a member. The North Jeolla office of the Korean Red Cross will be using Taeyeon’s donation to supply healthcare supplies to the female children and adolescents of 3 schools.

 

Meanwhile, Taeyeons’ latest track “A Poem Titled You” from the soundtrack of Hotel del Luna has ranked #1 on major music charts including Melon, FLO, Genie, Bugs, Olleh Music, Naver Music, Mnet Music, Soribada and MOMOPLE.
