GOT7‘s Jinyoung and Roh Jeong Ui are in discussions to be the lead roles in upcoming K-Drama The Witch.

According to a pair of exclusive reports from Sports Chosun, GOT7’s Jinyoung and Roh Jeong Ui are in discussions to play the lead roles of upcoming K-Drama The Witch, which will be based on a webtoon of the same name. The K-Drama will tell the story of a man who falls in love with a woman who is referred to as a witch.

Jinyoung would play the role of Lee Dong Jin, an intelligent individual who graduated from University with a degree in statistics and immediately was scouted by a company due to being one of the best data miners in the industry. In the past, a lonely girl by the name of Park Mi Jeong would appear in front of him and all he had to do was believe her, but she was the center of rumors. After finishing school, he wanted to tell her she wasn’t a witch so much, he studied statistics. Dong Jin suddenly sees her on the subway, and is now willing to throw away his life for her.

Roh Jeong Ui would play the role of Park Mi Jeong, a wiman who lives a completely free life, dressing up in pretty clothes while living in a rooftop apartment. Due to her solid English skills, which she was good at since she was young, she became a translator. Her mother died during her birth, so she stood out from others since she was young. Perhaps it was because of the air of mystery surrounding her, but many male students had a crush on her at some point and everyone who was involved with her got tangled up in rumors, leading her to being called the witch. Throughout her lonely school life, she recalls a child with a bright smile looking at her during high school.

The Witch is currently in discussions with OTT platforms over broadcasting and is planning to start filming soon.
