Four Korean Men Were The Targets Of A Racist Attack In Seattle On Christmas

The attack was racially motivated and the aggressor was charged with a hate crime.

According to NBC Asian American, four Korean men visiting from California, Missouri, and Korea were subjected to abuse from a Seattle man on Christmas night.

The attack was racially motivated, as the aggressor Aaron Charles Rowe, 30, was said to have yelled, “I hate Chinese” and “F*cking Chinese“.

The men… were worried about an ‘aggressive man who began following them,’ before ‘they took refuge in’ a movie theater, according to a probable cause statement written by police.

Rowe struck victim Sangpill Lee before “tapping” Chuhao Jia in the face with the back of his hand. He was booked on three counts, including malicious harassment and a hate crime. Aaron Charles Rowe is currently being held in King County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
