Yoo Jae Suk Accused of Being a Part of the “Shincheonji Cult”, Sets the Record Straight by Revealing His Actual Religion

Yoo Jae Suk was rumored to be a member of the “Shincheonji cult.”

On a recent episode of tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, Yoo Jae Suk set the record straight regarding the rumors that he was apart of the Shincheonji “cult.”

In light of the coronavirus outbreak in Korea, and the serious spread of the virus triggered by a “cult” known as Shincheonji in Daegu, a list called “Celebrities in Shincheonji” was spread all over social media and online communities.

And one of those celebrities was Yoo Jae Suk, but he set the record straight with just one remark.

During the show, Yoo Jae Suk confessed that there had been some fake news about him being a part of the Shincheonji “cult.”

There’s been fake news about me. They said I’m apart of a particular religion that’s been a hot topic lately.

But he denied the claims by revealing his actual religion.

This revelation made everyone burst into laughter, and made it very clear to viewers that the news was false.

Aside from this clarification, Yoo Jae Suk’s agency, FNC Entertainment also addressed the news and announced that they will be taking strong action against false rumors being spread about their celebrities.

In the midst of the coronavirus outbreak when we should all be helping each other to overcome this crisis, there have been many false rumors going around, which is quite unfortunate. We will be taking strong action against any malicious rumors spread about our celebrities.

Following the outbreak in Shincheonji of Daegu, the number of cases in Korea exploded, and there are now 7755 cases of COVID-19 in Korea with 6929 in Daegu and 193 in Seoul.
