(G)I-DLE’s Alleged “Unfair” Line Distribution Comes Under Light

“Shuhua is practically a backup dancer”.

On April 6, (G)I-DLE made a comeback with their third EP I Trust. With over 91,000 pre-orders and 100,000 physical copies sold in just three days, I Trust quickly became their highest selling album.

That’s not all. Their title track “Oh My God” amassed 17 million views within the first day, breaking their own personal record.

Soon after, however, a number of fans expressed their disappointment over the members’ “unfair” line distribution. According to them, there is a clear difference in the number of lines given to each member.

What’s wrong with Miyeon’s part? She’s the main vocalist, but there weren’t many parts in the title song…Why???

Miyeon is good at singing, I feel bad for her…Shuhua is practically a backup dancer.

What is the company doing? Did they not adjust?

Below are rough estimates of the line distribution in several of (G)I-DLE’s new songs.

Oh My God

Luv U

Maybe

Based on the figures above, members Soyeon, Minnie, and Soojin generally have the most lines whereas Miyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua receive the fewest lines.

What do you think of (G)I-DLE’s line distribution?
