This New Cooking Library In Korea Is Every Foodie’s Ultimate Dream

Hyundai Card’s newest library in the heart of Seoul is an innovative cooking library that is bound to excite and intrigue any food lover.

Hyundai Card is a Korean credit card company and subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group that, among other things, has opened a number of unusual and noteworthy libraries in Seoul. The credit card company has thus far opened both a music library and a travel library for its cardholders to use. Their latest addition to their set of libraries, however, is a cooking library in Gangnam.

The architecture of Hyundai Card’s newest library is futuristic yet homey.

The Hyundai Card Cooking Library is separated into 5 levels and offers patrons the opportunity to read about food, cook it, and indulge in their creations. The basement of the building is the kitchen in which a team of chefs produces food for guests to eat on the top floor. The first floor is home to a deli that serves light dishes of pasta, sandwiches, drinks, and a wide variety of condiments. The second floor is a library of cookbooks for guests to learn and enlighten themselves in culinary arts, along with a glass-walled room that is filled with spices for guests to try and smell.

Cooking classes will also be held a few months after the opening of the library. According to the architect of the thoughtfully designed building, Choi Woo, the building was strategically designed for the scents of cooking to rise up to each floor. The soon-to-be-open interactive dining experience library has been highly praised for its innovative concept and design.
